When she’s sent to live with her aunt in America’s Deep South, she starts a girls’ rugby team and sets off a girl-power movement in the little hick town. If I’m talking Hollywood…it’s Bend It Like Beckham set in the emerging world of girls’ rugby in the U.S.

This commercial spoof was created for This Hour Has 22 Minutes which is a satirical news show featuring biting social commentaries, parodies, ambush interviews and sketch comedy. The award-winning hit comedy series returns to CBC Television in Canada for a 16th season with audience favorites Cathy Jones, Gavin Crawford, Mark Critch, Shaun Majumder and Geri Hall.

I haven’t seen the Conchords until today and had to put it on FunnyFixx.com, even though it’s much longer than the usual FunnyFixx funny video. Don’t you love the Kiwi accent?
