Attending a great event in Jacksonville, FL last night called ArtWalk, I stumbled upon a Public Option Rally. So I put it on CNN iReports. Check it out.

The Magistical, a magical animated film will be showing as part of the Jacksonville Film Festival tonight at 6 p.m. at the Five Points Theatre on Park Street. Our friend, Megan Blake, a professional actress in Hollywood, performs the voice of one of the main characters in the movie. Come see a family-friendly, magical movie and maybe meet one of the stars!! Tickets available at the box office until they’re sold out.

Hurray!! LIGHTHOUSE HILL, the British comedy I wrote was released TODAY in the U.S.!! You can buy it through Amazon (see the info below) and buy or rent through Blockbuster or Netflix.

Here’s what the story is about: Thirty-something Charlie seems to have it all: a brilliant job, a beautiful girlfriend and everything money can buy. But something is missing. When his best friend dies, he sets off on a quest to discover his real purpose in life. On the way he meets Grace, a beautiful eccentric who will change the way he looks at the world forever.

The magical comedy stars Jason Flemyng, who played Benjamin Button’s father in the Oscar-winning film The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Other cast members include: Kirsty Mitchell, Maureen Lipman, Frank Finlay, John Sessions and Kulvinder Ghir.

A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to award-winning film composer Shawn K. Clement on his newest Hollywood deal. He will be scoring the new 3-D, CGI, sci-fi film QUANTUM QUEST. The film has an all-star cast including sci-fi film icons Chris Pine, Samuel L. Jackson, Hayden Christensen, Amanda Peet, Robert Picardo, Brent Spiner, James Earl Jones, William Shatner, Mark Hamill, and Astronaut Neil Armstrong. Clement’s sci-fi music credits include such projects as BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER and BATMAN: RISE OF SIN TZU. He will record his original score for QUANTUM QUEST at George Lucas’ legendary Skywalker Ranch in April with 82 piece orchestra. QUANTUM QUEST premieres in theaters in late 2009.

Friends checking FunnyFixx.com for the amazing video called The Curious Case of Forrest Gump were disappointed when they found it missing several days in a row. Through diligent snooping and dumb luck, I’ve found a new link and so…finally, Benjamin and Forrest are back on FunnyFixx.

One night while riding back in the car with Jason from the pub where we were shooting the film north of London, Jason got a call from Brad Pitt or “The Pittman” as he called him. I believe they’d met when they were both in Guy Ritchie’s film, Snatch and had been friends ever since. It could be that Brad Pitt was of help to Jason when producers were casting Benjamin Button. Jason is a excellent actor and underrated in my opinion. If you watch the Lighthouse Hill trailer, you’ll hear Jason’s natural speaking voice. His role in Benjamin Button required a Southern accent which he did spot on.

Both Benjamin Button and Lighthouse Hill are magical realism stories and if you are a fan of that genre and liked Benjamin Button and Forrest Gump, you may consider getting Lighthouse Hill on DVD when it’s released on Amazon.com in March.
