How did we get into this economic disaster? Just look at the banks, Wall Street and Washington. Why should institutions that look after OUR money be regulated? They’re all honest folk, right? How can we, the little citizen, have influence in Washington when it’s overrun with lobbyists flinging money at politicians? Is voting enough?
Here are Mark’s comments about his video: After a few attempts at reigning in Wall Street, it’s time to bring back the wonders of the free market and deregulation. Find out a little more about just how wonderfully banks and financial product-types keep things from falling apart.
Michael Buble’s Hollywood video tells it like it is. Mostly.
Yep, you can find Hollywood in yourself…although Hollywood’s not dead. Love all the roles Buble plays in this vid.
Opening in limited release in the U.S. this weekend: documentary about Jackie and David Siegel who were building the biggest McMansion in America, 90,000 square feet of gaudy. Then the stock market crashed and brought the construction of their Versailles palace to a “heartbreaking” halt. It’s a real riches to rags story.

Here’s the story: A woman gets engaged and leaves her chaotic Bronx family behind her for good, determined to make a nice vegetarian life with her nice man from Indiana. But then her neurotic, manic, boy-crazy, substance-abusing sister drops into Jenny’s Manhattan apartment without warning and chaos reigns.
Moonrise Kingdom is the type of place you’d like to live.
Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, MOONRISE KINGDOM tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore — and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle. Bruce Willis plays the local sheriff. Edward Norton is a Khaki Scout troop leader. Bill Murray and Frances McDormand portray the young girl’s parents. The cast also includes Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, and Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward as the boy and girl.
This is a must-see film.
