This beautiful little video features footage from the new film Where The Wild Things Are directed by Spike Jonze intercut with an interview with Maurice Sendak author of the children’s book from which the film is adapted. The story is about a boy who misbehaves so he’s sent to bed without supper. He creates his own world where wild creatures crown him king and ruler of their forest. The film opens today, October 16 in the U.S.
Screenplay was written by Spike Jonze and Dave Eggers. Tom Hanks was one of the producers. Carter Burwell, one of my fav composers created the music. The movie’s budget is estimated at $80 million and is expected to bring in about $25 million at the box office this weekend.
