This is the pilot episode of an animated series the creator hopes to bring to television. Inspired by true events and created with a budget of $180, Free Lunch was only made possible by blood, sweat and tears (not the vintage rock band).
This is awesome animation and definitely worthy of network exposure. I’ll post Parts 3 and 4 in the next couple days.

At the top of the box office this weekend was the animated feature Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs with a weekend gross of $24,600,000 playing in 3,119 theatres (average $7,887 per theatre…which is very high). Total gross for its two week run is $60,036,000. Since its budget is reported to be $100 million, looks like this little jewel is headed for “profits” soon. But of course, the way Hollywood’s accounting system works, there are “no net” profits. DVD rentals and sales should be through the roof.

Rush does look a lot better minus the 40 pounds of blubber. His Big Brother rant is kinda funny, don’t you think? Government control of every aspect of our lives? Oh, no! What we eat, what we drive? So does that mean if we run our green cars on smelly French fry oil from McDonald’s that we’ll get a break tax day? Now there’s an idea worth running up the flag pole. Rush Limbaugh for President.
In an alternate reality, lying – even the concept of a lie – does not even exist. Everyone, from politicians to advertisers to the man and woman on the street, speaks the truth and nothing but the truth with no thought of the consequences. But when a down-on-his-luck loser named Mark suddenly develops the ability to lie, he finds that dishonesty has its rewards. In a world where every word is assumed to be the absolute truth, Mark easily lies his way to fame and fortune. But lies have a way of spreading and Mark begins to realize that things are getting a little out of control when some of his tallest tales are being taken as, well, gospel. With the entire world now hanging on his every word, there is only one thing Mark has not been able to lie his way into: the heart of the woman he loves.
