Who is Don Ready? Salesman? Lover? Song Stylist? Semi-professional dolphin trainer? Ready is all of the above — except for a dolphin trainer. When he’s asked to help save an ailing local car dealership from bankruptcy, Ready and his ragtag crew descend on the town of Temecula like a pack of coyotes on a basket full of burgers. Selling, drinking, selling and going to strip clubs is their stock and trade. And they do it well. What Don doesn’t expect is to fall in love and find his soul (cue heartfelt piano). ‘The Goods: Live Hard Sell Hard’ stars Emmy award-winning actor Jeremy Piven (‘The Kingdom,’ ‘Entourage’) and Ving Rhames (‘I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry,’ ‘Mission: Impossible III’). The film is the first production from Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions, directed by Neal Brennan, co-creator of the hugely successful Comedy Central hit, ‘Chappelle’s Show.’
Writers: Andy Stock, Rick Stempson
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: Jeremy Piven is a comic genius. I rewrote a script for a romantic comedy he starred in a few years ago called JUST WRITE. Working with him, his fellow cast members and our director Andy Gallerani was cool. I was invited to rehearsal to polish the script after casting so I could help develop dialog for each actor. Piven’s character in Just Write is totally opposite of his character in The Goods.

This gorgeous animated comedy was an official selection of the 2008 Annecy Film Festival (France) in the TV series category and was produced as a pilot for the future series Silly Beast. The characters and story were created for everyone to enjoy…the young and the young at heart.
Credits: Justine Bonnard, French director, 3D and 2D animator, story artist and character designer. Producer: Purple Productions.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: I love comedy with a universal theme. With no dialogue, this little animated gem tells the story of a beast with a big problem: a little chicken stuck to his head. Try as he might, the Silly Beast can’t get the silly chicken off his head. THIS IS A RE-POST OF SILLY BEAST…JUST BECAUSE I LOVE THE ANIMATION AND STORY SO MUCH!
I wonder if we are like the Silly Beast, always trying to get credit card debt off our heads. Even if we finally succeed and all the credit cards are paid off, somehow, someway…our past spending habits hatch a little egg of debt until it grows into a another tenacious chicken we can’t get off our heads. What comes first the chicken of debt or the egg of over-spending?

Meryl Streep is Julia Child and Amy Adams is Julie Powell in writer-director Nora Ephron’s adaptation of two bestselling memoirs: Powell’s Julie & Julia and My Life in France, by Julia Child with Alex Prud’homme.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: The movie opens this weekend and I’m eager to see it. Hope it’s funny and has a big opening weekend box office. We need more female-driven films.

Ever heard of an overly sensitive telemarketer? Thanks to sketch comedy geniuses FourDFilms in England you get a glimpse in this video. Their sketch show is called Best Served Chilled.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: If you’ve been plagued by rabid telemarketers, you’ll enjoy seeing one cry. Very funny.

Basil and Manuel have a conversation about how to dress the breakfast trays.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: Fawlty Towers was one of the funniest comedy series on television. When I want a whole evening of laughter, I just crack open our Fawlty Towers DVD set.
