Upset because his fellow office workers didn’t pay attention to his fire safety talk, Dwight sets the office on fire to present a much more exciting fire drill demonstration.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: This scene is a clip from Season Five’s “Stress Relief” episode and is one of the reasons I’m a big fan of The Office. The comedy is all character-driven and springs from the organic fears and delusions of each character. Once Dwight, who is the safety officer, makes the decision to set a fire as a fire safety demonstration, moment by moment, things get worse as chaos reigns and its every psycho for himself.
