Life’s a beach, especially to this dog.
This is a short film by my friend, Maury Covington, Jr. It will be shown in the FMPTA (Florida Motion Picture and Television Association) Short Attention Span Film Festival Brigade Extravaganza along with several others. Yes, the name of the fest is longer than most of the short films showing. If you’re in the Northeast Florida area, the mini fest is scheduled for tonight (April 14), 7-9 p.m., at Jacksonville University, 2800 University Boulevard North, Phillips Fine Arts Building, Room P19 and is open to the public. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: I love happy films. The Dog is a simple narrative about Maury’s walk to the beach with his dog. I identify strongly since I used to live in Atlantic Beach and walk my little dog, Carrie, on the beach every day. Usually we’d meet our dog walkers’ club about dawn and walk for 45 minutes or so. Didn’t matter about the weather. We’d be there. It was a fab way to start the day.
