Hedrick makes New Year’s resolutions. But can anyone stop being a hedgehog at will?
Hedrick played by himself. Music Composed and Performed by Shawn K. Clement. Produced by Sharon Y. Cobb.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: On New Year’s Eve day I searched for hours for a funny video with New Year’s Eve resolutions to post on FunnyFixx, but didn’t find exactly the right thing. I noticed as I clicked through dozens of videos I favored ones with animated animals. But since I have no idea how to do animation, I grabbed my dog’s toy hedgehog, my new Flip Mino HD camera and went into the garden. The result is a new series: Hedrick the Hedgehog.
I do a dreadful New Zealand accent…so let’s say the freaky accent is just “hedgehog.” And please forgive Hedrick’s bald spot. Carrie, our Cairn terror, is a source of immense stress for Hedrick and he’s gotten hedgehog alopecia.
The Alegrias wake up to a dragon under their house and the neighborhood turns out for the excitement.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: If you watch the original THURAPY sessions for this story you’ll learn lots more details of the “event” and also the background of the characters. Click on “Thurapy Webisodes 04 Alligators & Alibis” under the FUNNYFIXX NAVIGATION list to the right to see the original stories.
In this Hollywood comedy starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, two spoiled grown men become competitive stepbrothers after their single parents get hitched.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: FunnyFixx produced two videos for Will Ferrell’s “Staredown” video competition to promote the release of Step Brothers. See Will Ferrell Dancedown Viral and Panther County Night School Will Ferrell Staredown here on FunnyFixx.
When I found this French dubbed trailer for Step Brothers, I thought it was even funnier than the original.
Chihuahuas on a chirping rampage. The adorable pack is from the Panther County Chichi Ranch (known in real life as Thunder Paws Kennel, www.thunderpawskennel.com).
This original FunnyFixx.com video features music composed and performed by Shawn K. Clement. Written, directed and produced by Sharon Y. Cobb.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: My sister told me she had 18 chihuahuas in her house (she’s a breeder, not a crazy person…although…) and I had to bring my chihuahua-cam to shoot some tape. Those little devils charged the camera which I was rolling around on a little furniture dolly. The difficult thing with this shoot was focusing on trying to keep all the dogs in frame and not falling on the floor laughing hysterically. The brown and white puppy wandering around with the other dogs was sold to an owner in France and lives there now consuming bird-like amounts of pate and brie.
A Christmas Claymation! A crew went out on the streets to get the low down on what people like about, and want for Christmas.
All voices and animation: Simon McKinney. Interviewer: Jonno Drew. Character design and edit: Aasta L. Otnes. Made and produced for TaylorMade Media’s “Studio 2” by Moosehead Productions, New Zealand. Premiered on NZ TV2 December 2006.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: I have a special place in my heart for all things Kiwi since my husband is a New Zealander. I have been searching for New Zealand comedy and stumbled upon this jewel. MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYONE!!
One of the funniest scenes from this Christmas movie classic released theatrically in 1983. Written by Jean Shepherd (from the novel “In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash”), Leigh Brown & Bob Clark. Directed by Bob Clark. Starring Peter Billingsley as Ralphie.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: How I got to 1993 without seeing A Christmas Story during the holidays, I’ll never know. But when I moved to Los Angeles, my friend and mentor, Linda Seger introduced me to this funny family film.
Coming from the South where the right to bear arms is considered a blessing, I could identify with Ralphie’s obsession with getting a Red Rider BB gun for Christmas. I never wanted a BB gun myself since too many cousins had shot their eyes out, but my Santa obsession was with a go-cart. Growing up with a single mom who worked hard for her money, asking for such an extravagant gift was not cool. Yet, every waking moment before Christmas was spent thinking about how fast I could go in that electric blue go-cart. Christmas came and went. No go-cart. My mom made sure my sister and I didn’t know we were always between pay checks, so there were plenty of presents. Even at age 10, I suspect a go-cart was a symbol of equality with the boys, so I was determined to get one. When I turned 11, there it was…my go-cart of equality. I raced that thing flat out as fast as it would go until it blew up (less than two weeks after my birthday). Many Christmases later I got a real race car, well, as real as it gets for a few thousand dollars…a Formula Vee and autocrossed it until it blew up.
Long story longer…have a marvelous Christmas and don’t fall for the “tongue on the frozen flag pole” dare. Ho, ho, ha!

Justin James Clayden of Wombarra Studios in Australia produces plasticine-fueled, guerrilla animation for film, advertising and just general hysterical entertainment. See more about his work at: http://www.coolfusion.com.au/Wombarra_Studios/about.html.
FUNNYFIXX NOTE: I’m a huge fan of “claymation” and stop-motion animation in general. I discovered Justin’s work on blip.tv where FunnyFixx has a channel for international distribution of our original webisodes. The Crumb That Got Away features some of the best stop-motion animation with plasticine I’ve seen. Justin has one other video made with this technique and I hope to post it soon.
